GP Extended Access Service

If there are no more appointments available at the Surgery, we may offer you an appointment with the GP Extended Access Service.  You will be seen by experienced Lewisham clinicians.  These appointments are available from 8.00am to 8.00pm, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.

For further information click here.

Practices are required under the GMS contract, to allocate a named, accountable GP to all patients, including children who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to you. All new patients registering will be informed about their named GP at registration. Please ask the reception staff who your named, accountable GP is. Should you express a wish for this to be changed to another GP we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. Having an allocated GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the practice.

GP Appointments

Please telephone 020 3675 0752 to make an appointment or come to reception with your passport or driving license to sign up for our online booking system. Appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance and new pre-bookable appointments for the following weeks become available every morning. If you need to be seen urgently please call or come down to the surgery at 8am for an appointment with the duty doctor.

The number of patients needing to see their GP is increasing, yet funding for general practice is falling year on year.

Belmont Hill Surgery is having to make savings.

We are committed to the provision of excellence in family practice, delivering high quality patient care through services which are timely, efficient, considerate and responsive to the needs of our patient population.
We are asking you to support the RCGP campaign to increase funding for general practice to 11% of the NHS Budget by 2017.

We have set up a Patient Participation Group to share ideas about how the surgery runs and develop more efficient and effective ways of meeting your needs. Please go the the PPG Group tab for more info and results of our annual survery.
We now have a PPG on-line forum where you can login and talk with other PPG members about your ideas ready for the next face to face meeting or if you can't make the next meeting.

Emis Patient Access allows patients of Belmont Hill Surgery to book and cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions and update their contact details online from the comfort of their own home on a PC or laptop computer or using the dedicated app on a mobile device. To register for Patient Access please bring photo ID (passport or diving licence) to reception and we will provide you with your PIN and all of the relevant details to get yourself set up.

Text Messages
We use the Mjog Appointment Reminder service to send you a text reminder 24 hours before your appointment here at Belmont Hill surgery. If you feel that you don't want to have this option when you make an appointment with us please ask the receptionist to have yourself removed from this new service.
UPDATE:  You can now text back the word 'CANCEL' to the text back number to cancel your appointment.
