The practice provides the following medical services:
Antenatal care is provided by our midwife. Appointments are available on Fridays. For patients not booked with Lewisham, antenatal care may be provided at other surgeries or at hospital ona shared care basis.
Asthma, COPD, Diabetes Monitoring
Appointments can be made with either the nurse or the healthcare assistant for assessment, advice and management of these conditions.
Baby and Childhood Immunisations
By appointment only, usually on Mondays with the nurse.
An appointment can be made with the nurse for smear tests. Smear tests need to be taken between 10 and 20 days after the first day of your period.
If you wish to access this service please make an appointment with your GP to discuss referral.
We have a dietician in the surgery on Friday mornings. Referral can be made to this service through the doctors or nurse.
District Nurses, Community Matrons, MacMillan Nurses
Referrals to these services are made by any of our healthcare professionals, as appropriate.
Electronic Prescription Service
Prescriptions can be sent directly to a pharmacy of your choice.
Appointments for pill checks and general contraceptive advice can be made with the nurse. Free condoms are also available on request from reception.
Mondays 1.30-3pm. No appointment necessary. For children aged under 5 years. The health visitors also have an office at Lee Health Centre and can be contacted on 020 3049 2077.
Influenza and Pneumococcal and Shingles Immunisations
We offer walk-in clinics from October-March. Appointments can also be made the nurse or healthcare assistant.
Minor Surgery and Skin Clinics
Dr Pierpoint carries out minor surgical procedures and cryotherapy within the surgery. Any of our doctors can refer you for this service.
Minor Illness Clinics
The nurse offers minor illness clinics Monday-Thursday mornings for adults and children over the age of 2.
New Patient Health Checks
We ask all our new patients to have a brief health check with the nurse or healthcare assistant. This includes height, weight, blood pressure and advice on healthy lifestyle.
NHS Health Checks
These free health checks are available for those aged 40-74 without a pre-existing heart condition. To find out if you are eligible for a free health check, please contact our reception.
We have a phlebotomist who takes blood from our patients on Tuesday mornings. Appointments must be booked in advance.
6-8 week baby and postnatal checks for mothers are available alternate Mondays with Dr Melchor. Appointments can be made through reception.
Some services fall outside the remit of the NHS and there may be a charge for some of these services, fees recommended by the British Medical Association. These include private health insurance forms, private medical certificates and various reports for pre-employment and insurance purposes. These appointments usually take place outside normal surgery hours.
Sexual Health Services
We offer Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea self-testing, and emergency contraception after consultation with the nurse.
Stop Smoking Appointments
Appointments can be made with our healthcare assistant for advice and support on stopping smoking. We can also issue prescriptions for products to assist with smoking cessation.
Travel Advice & Vaccinations
Please be aware that some travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever are not available on the NHS and are chargeable. Ask reception for prices.
If you are travelling to an exotic destination and believe you may need immunisations please ask to book a travel advice appointment with the practice nurse. We recommend booking an appointment at least 4 weeks prior to travel to ensure that all immunisations are fully effective. If you are unable to book this far in advance the nurse will still see you but please be aware that some of the vaccinations may not be fully effective before you travel.
Well Baby Clinic, 6-8 Week Baby Checks & Postnatal Check-ups
Monday 1.30 - 3.30pm Dr Holloway and Dr Melchor
For postnatal, six week baby checks and immunisations, please make an appointment at reception. No appointments are needed for baby weighing and/or general advice with the Health Visitor.
The practice has a private chiropodist, Jane Mould-Jones, who is available for appointments Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings. Please contact the surgery for more information.
